ISDB SCHOLARSHP PROGRAM FOR THE MUSLIM COMMUNITIES IN NON-MEMBER COUNTRIES (SPMC) FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2025/2026

  1. Call for Application

The Ministry of Education and Vocational Training Zanzibar is pleased to announce to the general public that the Islamic Development Bank is offering scholarships to Tanzanian students to study a Bachelor's degrees in medicine, engineering, agriculture, and other related fields such as dentistry, pharmacy, veterinary science, nursing, nutrition study, computer science, forestry, and fishery. Qualified Tanzanian students are invited to apply for the 2025/2026 academic year.

 

  1. Eligibility

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  1. Must have completed Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) with good grades in major science subjects.
  2. Should not be older than 24 years of age;
  3. Must possess an excellent command of the English language and provide proof of English proficiency or equivalent system in French or other languages.
  4. Be medically fit and willing to undergo medical examination after selection.
  5. Having secured admission in one of the disciplines covered under the program at a recognized college or university in their own country is desirable.
  6. List of documents to be submitted

Applicants must include the following documents listed below:

  1. A certified Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE);
  2. A certified statement of examination results;
  3. A certified copy of passport bio-data page;
  4. A certified birth certificate
  5. English Language proficiency certificate;

 

 

  1. Scholarship Benefits

The cost of the scholarship will cover:

  1. Tuition fees
  2. Accommodation;
  3. Books/Clothing allowance, the equivalent of three months monthly stipends
  4. Monthly stipend commensurate with the cost of living in the country of study.
  5. Once a year cost of medical treatment

 

  1. Mode of application
    1. Interested candidates are welcome to submit their applications through the scholarship online portal www.isdb.org/scholarships not later than 5th April, 2025.
